survivors

One warm November day in South Africa Mathew and Alex were checking in to their hotel. They stayed up for ages playing darts theycollapsed into bed. The next day they got picked up by a safari bus at the hotel, it drove them up to the African plains they watched the zebras and the antelopegraze. Then they went to the water whole there was crocodiles and hippos.

The tour guide said not to put your hands outside the bus, as they approached the lion’s territory they all heard a massive roar as a pack of lions approached them, the guide said to be quiet and they would go away. The other people on the bus looked panicky they were very pale as well. Mathew whispered to Alex what we do now just at that moment the bus lurched as a lion jumped onto the roof and tried to pull it
off.

The Tour guide fainted with fright and the other people on the bus screamed there was a massive lion that smashed the door off everyone was running and screaming, Mathew broke out the window and Alex took the radio off the tour guides belt and jumped out the window. Mathew climbed up a big tree with Alex at his heels they climbed 20 metres to a safe distance from the lions. Then Alex called the emergency services they said they would take about 5 minutes. They watched as people ran off into the night, suddenly the bus exploded as a lion attacked it. The rescue crew saw the explosion and put a rope down Mathew jumped onto the rope and then Alex jumped on to the rope and they pulled him up.

They were flown to an African airfield and were given some rooms in the hotel and they fell asleep straight away. Next day they were informed that there were the only people to survive they were survivors.

  1. Hi Aaron,
A very interesting story indeed and I am very glad to see it published on your blog. I love how you have useed words like massive, smashed, fainted and panicky. Great descriptive words.
A couple of things to remember when publishing your next piece:
    > A new paragragraph needs to be started if a period of time has passed.
    > Check that you are using the correct words. For example, whole and hole.

I look forward to reading your next writing piece.

  2. Oh my goodness Aaron, what a story!! I was actually feeling very nervous for the people on the bus. Well done on being able to create a very clear picture of the events with words. Keep up the good work. Mrs Arnel
